Carnival Cruise Line debuted new ads for the “Find Your Fun Again” campaign starring Emmy-winning actor, author, and humorist Nick Offerman. The campaign is the first under the cruise line’s new brand platform, “Carnival Is Calling,” which launched on Nov. 1. Offerman serves as the face of the campaign – or more specifically, the gruff craftsman who found his grin.
“Find Your Fun Again” leverages Offerman’s sense of humor to tackle a perceived fun deficit currently in America. Raised in a family of cruisers and Carnival fans and known for his serious face and hidden sense of mischief, Offerman skillfully balances deadpan humor and playfulness. The ads were co-written with Offerman’s team of Parks and Recreation writers to make it unmistakably him.
