Princess Cruises has ended direct local sales operations in Taiwan effective August 31, while existing bookings and scheduled 2026 sailings are expected to continue as planned. Central News Agency reported that Princess’ Taiwan operating entity has stopped taking new local bookings and that future reservations will need to be handled through international or overseas sales channels. Taiwan International Ports Corp. says the change should not affect Princess calls scheduled for 2026, although the impact on 2027 and 2028 deployment remains under discussion. The move is notable because Princess has maintained a direct sales presence in Taiwan for roughly 13 years and has historically used Keelung as both a homeport and port of call.
