Carnival Cruise Line Celebrates Major Expansion Of RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay

Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled the completion of new amenities and an expanded white-sand beachfront at its exclusive destination, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay.

Guests can now enjoy new complimentary loungers and umbrellas, plus reservable cabanas and daybeds for added comfort. New and upgraded food and drink venues—Orchid Beach Grill, Hibiscus Beach Grill, Luna Tide Beach Bar, Stay Awhile Beach Shack, and Lil’ Tiki Bar—offer a variety of island-style meals, full buffets, and refreshing beverages in shaded, beachfront settings. Island access is now easier, with a new pier that allows ships to dock and Excel-class ships to visit the destination for the first time.

A new tram service connecting all areas of the island will enhance guest convenience and accessibility. In addition, the new scenic Papaya Pathway offers guests a picturesque walking route for those who prefer to explore on foot. The existing south side of the island is also being refreshed with new design elements and upgrades to food and beverage venues, while a variety of activities and excursions will continue to be available for guests to enjoy.

“RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay’s natural beauty has always made it a favorite for our guests, and with the new pier, more ships can now easily access this incredible destination,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “We’re excited that more guests than ever will be able to experience the stunning beachfront and turquoise waters.”
