Carnival Cruise Line has revealed it will be offering its first-ever solar eclipse cruise in 2026, departing from Dover.
The cruise was announced by John Heald on his Facebook page, and will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy almost 100% totality for the solar event.
The 11-night cruise will take place on Carnival Legend and will depart Dover on 9th August 2026, calling at ports such as Le Havre (Paris), Vigo, Lisbon and Zeebrugge.
But it’s the sea day on 12th August when guests will be able to enjoy the solar eclipse from the ship, provided the weather is nice and clear!
“The chance to see a total solar eclipse while having fun exploring the cultural richness of Spain, Portugal and France aboard Carnival Legend, is a truly special opportunity – among a lineup of many phenomenal cruises“
Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line
The cruise is a round-trip from Dover, meaning it could be perfect for UK guests who wish to try out a Fun Ship and see the solar eclipse in one exciting holiday.
It can be booked currently through the Carnival website and is expected to be available through online travel agents soon.
