A cruise guest has gone viral on TikTok after sharing a video of his cabin when he had left the balcony door open.
On returning to the cabin, the guest who goes by the username Beaubays20 struggled to open the door due to the high winds – leaving the balcony door propped open can cause a wind tunnel effect.
The guest was in good spirits about the incident, and doesn’t mention any lost items beyond a spilled drink, or otherwise damaged property, but it shows why you’re always told to make sure your balcony door is closed whenever you leave the room.
@beaubays20 A tornado really went through my room🤣 #fyp #msc #cruise #vacation #royalcaribbean #mcs #cruiseship #viral ♬ original sound – Beau Bays
The cruise line engaged with him in the TikTok comments, keeping the conversation light-hearted by suggesting “You should close that”.
He claimed that he hadn’t been told about closing the balcony door before the incident but that he had learned his lesson.
His video racked up over 5 million views at the time of writing, with over 1,000 comments.
Cruise guests often go viral for entertaining videos from their cruises, and this isn’t the first video within the last few months to feature problems after a balcony door was left open.
Some guests recently shared a video of birds taking over their cabin, possibly sheltering from the stormy weather in the region but generally causing chaos in the room and, subsequently, the corridor.
