When and Where Disney Believe Will Sail

Disney Believe is scheduled to debut on December 18, 2027. From its homeport in Fort Lauderdale, the ship will offer shorter getaway-style cruises, making it an appealing option for families who want a taste of Disney at sea without committing to a longer voyage. Itineraries will include stops at one or both of Disney’s private island destinations, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, giving guests the chance to enjoy Disney’s exclusive beach experiences as part of their trip.

According to Cruise Fever, bookings for Disney Believe are set to open on October 19, as noted by PAX News, so travelers interested in securing a cabin on these early sailings will want to mark that date on their calendars.

Entertainment Inspired by Beloved Disney Stories

The new ship will lean heavily into some of Disney’s most popular modern stories while keeping fan-favorite shows from across the fleet. Disney Believe will reportedly be home to the world’s first stage musical based on “Encanto,” along with an original production called “Disney Seas the Adventure” that brings together characters and songs from across Disney and Pixar films. The ship’s Grand Hall, the central gathering space found on every Disney ship, will take its design cues from “Moana.”

Guests who enjoyed “Tangled: The Musical” on Disney Magic will be glad to know the show is making its way to Disney Believe as well, giving the new ship a mix of fresh productions and proven crowd-pleasers.

New Dining Experiences Take Center Stage

Food and drink options on Disney Believe draw inspiration from several popular franchises. A standout addition is Oaken’s Table, billed as a “Frozen Family Feast,” which imagines an unseen chapter of the “Frozen” story featuring characters including Oaken, Anna, and Kristoff, set in a forest-inspired dining space with live musical performances.

Other new venues include a sweet shop themed around “Inside Out 2,” featuring oversized character displays, as well as two new cafes and an open-air food court offering casual options like pizza, burgers, and barbecue. For more refined dining, Disney Believe will carry over Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté, the upscale restaurant from chef Arnaud Lallement, while also bringing back guest favorites 1923 and Worlds of Marvel from other ships in the fleet.

Lounges and Bars With a Disney Twist

Adult guests will have their own themed spaces to unwind. The Haunted Mansion Parlor returns as an immersive bar inspired by the classic Disney theme park attraction. Meanwhile, a new piano lounge called Sea Notes takes design inspiration from Ariel’s grotto in “The Little Mermaid,” featuring a pearlescent piano as its centerpiece and a menu that includes non-alcoholic beverage options for guests who prefer them.

What This Means for Cruise Passengers

For families planning future vacations, Disney Believe offers another option for shorter Caribbean and Bahamas cruises departing from a convenient Florida port. The mix of new entertainment tied to recent Disney and Pixar releases, alongside returning favorites, suggests the ship will appeal both to newcomers and repeat Disney cruisers. With bookings opening soon, travelers interested in being among the first to sail should keep an eye on official Disney Cruise Line channels for full itinerary and pricing details as they become available.
