Holland America Line will base their flagship, Rotterdam, in the Mediterranean for the first time when the ship sails a series of five cruises for the fall 2027 season.

Rotterdam will offer a series of 10- and 11-day cruises with select itineraries cruising through the Strait of Messina and past Stromboli, one of the world’s most active volcanoes.
Guests will be able to combine cruises into longer itineraries and the season will conclude with a two-week Transatlantic sailing from Barcelona to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Here is a look at these new itineraries from Holland America Line on Rotterdam:
- October 17, 2027 – 10-day Around the Iberian Peninsula
- October 27, 2027 – 11-day Mediterranean Splendor
- November 7, 2027 – 10-day Greek Isles
- November 17, 2027 – 11-day Greek Isles

Paul Grigsby, vice president of revenue planning for Holland America Line, said the following about these new cruises:
“We know how much our guests love sailing on Rotterdam, and the Mediterranean is always in high demand. There’s something really special about seeing the flagship sailing in iconic ports like Bilbao, Naples and Rhodes for the first time, and it’s a moment we’re excited to share with our guests.“
