MSC World Asia Introduces Three-in-One Pan-Asian Dining Venue Combining Restaurant, Bar And Street Food Counter

MSC Cruises has unveiled a new multi-concept Pan-Asian dining venue for MSC World Asia that will combine a specialty restaurant, cocktail bar and complimentary grab-and-go counter in a single location.

MSC World Asia Pan Asian Restaurant and On The Go

The venue will draw inspiration from the culinary traditions of Indonesia, Singapore, South China, Thailand and Vietnam, offering guests multiple ways to experience Southeast Asian cuisine throughout the day.

Three Distinct Dining Experiences Under One Roof

The innovative venue will provide passengers with flexibility in how they choose to dine, whether they’re seeking a full sit-down meal, pre-show cocktails or a quick snack between activities.

All three concepts will operate from the same space, creating a hub for Pan-Asian flavours aboard the ship.

The specialty restaurant will serve dishes inspired by Southeast Asian cuisine, whilst the adjacent bar will focus on cocktails and beverages influenced by regional flavours.

MSC World Asia Pan Asian Street Bar

A separate walk-up window will provide complimentary street food-style snacks during daytime hours.

Menu Highlights Span Five Southeast Asian Cuisines

The venue will draw culinary inspiration from the food traditions of Indonesia, Singapore, South China, Thailand and Vietnam.

Live cooking stations will be incorporated throughout the space, accompanied by artwork, music and themed décor designed to reflect these diverse influences.

Announced menu items include Singapore-style shrimp, shiitake mushroom fried rice and various wok-fired specialties.

The grab-and-go counter will offer street food-style items such as seafood balls and bao buns as complimentary options for guests throughout the day.

Beverage Programme Features Asian Beers And Specialty Cocktails

The cocktail bar will offer an extensive selection of beverages that complement the Pan-Asian theme.

Asian beers including Tsingtao, Chang and Bintang will be available alongside non-alcoholic options such as bubble teas, smoothies and fresh fruit juices.

Specialty cocktails have been crafted specifically for the venue, including jasmine mojitos, rose and strawberry daiquiris and matcha coladas.

These drinks will incorporate Asian-inspired ingredients and flavour profiles to enhance the overall dining experience.

Expert Chefs Bring Authentic Asian Culinary Experience

The concept was developed with input from two experienced chefs with extensive backgrounds in Asian cuisine.

Chef Xiao Wang brings expertise in developing Asian dining concepts for MSC Cruises, whilst Chef Luca Césarini has worked in restaurant and hotel kitchens in Shanghai and Thailand.

MSC World Asia Pan Asian Restaurant Seating

“With this new three-in-one venue, we are inviting guests to explore one of the world’s most exciting food cultures in a way that is vibrant, welcoming and full of flavour,” said Stéphane Franchini, senior director of food and beverage product at MSC Cruises.

He added that the venue was designed to “create a truly immersive culinary journey, from the diverse range of dishes to the atmosphere of the space, and the expertise of Chefs Xiao Wang and Luca Césarini.”

Franchini noted that the venue “reflects our ambition to offer greater choice, seamless convenience and more memorable moments through food.”

Venue Features Indoor Seating And Rooftop Terrace

The Pan-Asian specialty restaurant will offer both indoor seating and access to a rooftop terrace, providing guests with dining options suited to their preferences.

The menu will include appetizers, main courses and desserts, allowing for complete meals throughout the day.

The flexibility of the venue’s design means passengers can choose their dining experience based on time constraints, appetite and occasion.

Whether seeking a leisurely dinner on the terrace or a quick bite from the grab-and-go counter, guests will find options within the same location.

Part Of Extensive Dining Portfolio Aboard MSC World Asia

The new Pan-Asian venue will become one of 19 dining options aboard MSC World Asia when the ship joins the fleet on 4th December 2026.

The vessel will feature six specialty restaurants, six main dining concepts, an exclusive restaurant for MSC Yacht Club guests and several fast-casual and grab-and-go options.

Returning favourites include Butcher’s Cut, the cruise line’s American-style steakhouse serving premium cuts of beef.

Japanese cuisine will be represented by Kaito Sushi Bar and Kaito Teppanyaki, whilst Hola! Tacos & Cantina will offer Latin American and Mexican-inspired dishes in a casual setting.

MSC Cruises has confirmed that another new specialty restaurant featuring Mediterranean cuisine will be announced at a later date, further expanding the ship’s culinary offerings.

MSC Expands Specialty Dining Across World Class Fleet

The addition continues MSC Cruises’ strategy of expanding specialty dining aboard its newest World Class ships, which also include MSC World Europa and MSC World America.

MSC World Europa introduced the Nordic Chef’s Garden Kitchen and La Pescaderia seafood restaurant, whilst MSC World America debuted the only Eataly at Sea and the Greek-inspired Paxos restaurant.

The World Class vessels represent the cruise line’s most innovative dining concepts, with each ship introducing unique culinary experiences that reflect global cuisines and regional specialties.

MSC World Asia will spend its inaugural season in the Western Mediterranean following its December debut.

The ship will offer seven-night cruises calling at Marseille, France; Barcelona, Spain; Genoa, Civitavecchia and Messina, Italy; and Valletta, Malta.

The deployment allows European and international guests to experience the ship’s extensive dining options, including the new Pan-Asian venue, whilst exploring some of the Mediterranean’s most popular ports of call.
