MSC World Asia To Feature New Outdoor Park And Expanded Pool District Ahead Of 2026 Debut

MSC Cruises has unveiled further details of new outdoor attractions and pool areas set to debut on MSC World Asia, the cruise line’s next World Class vessel scheduled to enter service later this year.

The latest announcement highlights The Harbour, a large outdoor family activity zone, alongside an expanded Aqua Deck featuring multiple pools and relaxation spaces.

MSC World Asia The Harbour

The ship is currently in the final stages of construction at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in France and is due to launch on 4th December 2026.

The Harbour Brings Outdoor Family развлечments To Sea

Building on a concept first introduced with MSC World America in April 2025, The Harbour will make its European debut aboard MSC World Asia. Located within the ship’s Family Aventura district, the space is designed as a central outdoor hub combining activities, dining and relaxation.

“Reflecting the theme of the ship, the newly revamped Harbour on MSC World Asia will feature an Asian-inspired design where parents, children, and thrill seekers can come together, eat, and play and soak up in the sun in a revolutionary outdoor park within the Family Aventura district.”

Among the headline attractions is Cliffhanger, an over-water swing ride positioned around 164 feet above sea level. The ride will extend beyond the edge of the ship, offering sweeping ocean views as it swings back and forth.

The area will also feature a two-level ropes course spanning approximately 6,210 square feet. This includes two Sky Rails, allowing guests to traverse elevated sections in a zip line-style experience above the deck.

A compact water park will cater to younger guests and families, offering a mix of slides including a vertical drop option, raft rides and side-by-side racing slides, alongside a dedicated splash zone for children.

Food and drink options will be centred around The Harbour Bar & Bites, providing quick-service refreshments for guests using the space. A quieter Play Deck area will also be incorporated nearby, giving families a place to relax between activities.

The Harbour will connect directly to the World Promenade below via the Tree of Life at The Spiral, an 11-deck dry slide that serves as one of the ship’s signature features.

Aqua Deck Set To Anchor Pool Experience

Elsewhere on board, MSC World Asia will introduce a redesigned Aqua Deck, forming the largest outdoor pool district on the ship.

In total, the vessel will offer seven pools and 13 hot tubs. The main outdoor pool, named Manila Bay, will act as the primary hub for daytime events and entertainment.

MSC World Asia Indoor Pool

Adjacent to this area, the Pearl Lagoon Bar will serve drinks to guests around the pool deck.

A second key pool, Coral Cove, will be located indoors beneath a retractable glass roof, allowing for year-round use regardless of weather conditions. This space will also feature its own bar, creating an alternative, more sheltered pool environment.

MSC World Asia will be the third ship in MSC Cruises’ World Class series and will have capacity for up to 6,758 passengers. The vessel has been designed with Asian-inspired elements throughout its public areas, reflecting its name and theme.

MSC World Asia Coral Cove

The ship is scheduled to operate seven-night Mediterranean itineraries from launch, with planned calls including Barcelona and Valencia in Spain, Marseille in France, and Civitavecchia, Messina and Naples in Italy.
