Norwegian Sky is now sailing its final cruise for Norwegian Cruise Line, closing out a 27-year career with the brand before transferring to Cordelia Cruises later this month. The nine-night farewell voyage departed Barcelona on August 31 and is scheduled to end in Piraeus on September 9 after calls in Spain, France, Italy and Greece. Cruise Industry News reports the 1999-built ship will then head toward the Middle East ahead of its planned late-October debut as Cordelia Sky. Norwegian Sky’s previously scheduled repositioning voyage toward the Gulf was canceled amid regional security concerns, making this Mediterranean sailing the ship’s last passenger voyage
