A passenger died after falling from an upper-deck balcony aboard Norwegian Getaway late Sunday, August 23, while the ship was returning to Miami from a three-night Bahamas cruise, according to eyewitness reporting by Cruise Fever.
The outlet reports that passengers heard an emergency announcement between roughly 11 p.m. and midnight and that the guest fell from an upper passenger deck to the Waterfront/promenade area below. Cruise Fever says multiple passengers corroborated the incident and that one passenger provided photos and video from the ship.
