Cruise Hive covers three major cruise stories for January 12th, 2026. Nearly 1,000 cruisers shared which trends they want gone in 2026, with unsupervised kids, chair hogging, and poor hygiene topping the list—especially after a recent gastrointestinal outbreak on Holland America’s Rotterdam. MSC Cruises has cancelled MSC Poesia’s February 13th sailing from Southampton as the ship heads into an early dry dock for major upgrades, with guests receiving refunds and future cruise credit. And in the UK, Winter Storm Goretti caused severe travel disruption, leaving P&O Britannia fly‑cruise passengers delayed and sparking frustration over inconsistent compensation.
