Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship has joined an exclusive group of cruise vessels to earn a perfect score during a U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention health inspection.
Disney Destiny received a score of 100 during a CDC Vessel Sanitation Program inspection conducted on June 6, 2026, according to newly published federal inspection records.
The result marks an improvement for the ship, which earned a score of 96 during its first inspection in December 2025.
CDC Vessel Sanitation Program inspections are conducted to evaluate health and sanitation practices aboard cruise ships that call at U.S. ports. Inspectors examine a wide range of areas, including food preparation and handling, potable water systems, galley sanitation, housekeeping practices, pest management and procedures designed to help prevent gastrointestinal illnesses.
A score of 86 or higher is considered satisfactory under the program, making a score of 100 the highest possible result.
Disney Destiny entered service in November 2025 and currently sails from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. The ship features a heroes-and-villains theme inspired by Disney characters and is a sister ship to Disney Wish and Disney Treasure.
With its latest inspection, Disney Destiny joins several other cruise ships that have earned perfect health inspection scores during the CDC’s current rolling 12-month reporting period.
For cruise passengers, an inspection score represents conditions observed aboard the vessel at the time inspectors were onboard rather than a guarantee of future conditions.
Still, earning a perfect 100 is a notable achievement for one of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ships — particularly after improving from its already strong debut inspection score.
