Princess Cruises has announced an extended Japan cruise season for 2026 on the Diamond Princess.
The season will run from February to November, providing travellers with more time to explore Japan.
Diamond Princess can accommodate 2,670 guests and will offer 50 trips with 35 different routes, lasting from seven to 28 days.
These cruises will visit 38 destinations in three countries, including major Japanese cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hiroshima.
In 2026, guests can immerse themselves in Japan’s rich culture and stunning natural beauty.
Highlights include witnessing the spring cherry blossoms, participating in summer festivals like the Aomori Nebuta Festival and the Kumano Fireworks Festival, and enjoying the autumn foliage.
The trips will also feature special cultural experiences such as baseball, Sumo wrestling, Kabuki theatre, and Zen gardens.
Notable trips include Spring Flowers Cruises, which are 10- and 11-day journeys in March and April, following the blooming season across Japan’s four main islands.
Circle Japan Voyages offer nine- to 14-day trips around Japan, with stops in Nagasaki, Kanazawa, and Maizuru (for Kyoto).
Southern Islands itineraries provide nine-day trips to Okinawa and Ishigaki in Japan.
The extended season allows guests to choose a cruise during their preferred time of year, whether it’s for spring blossoms, summer festivals, or the autumnal scenery of this fascinating country.
