Cunard has confirmed a major refurbishment of Queen Mary 2, adding 31 staterooms and refreshing several signature areas of the flagship ocean liner. The ship is scheduled to enter dry dock at Damen Shiprepair Brest in France on March 31, 2027, and return to service on May 9.
The project will add 16 Princess Grill Suites and 15 Britannia-category staterooms. Cunard also plans to refresh every existing Grill Suite, update the Queens Grill and Princess Grill restaurants, add outdoor deck space, expand and redesign the ship’s kennels, transform Mareel Wellness & Beauty, introduce new luxury retail and give the Illuminations planetarium a major digital upgrade. Cunard says the design will preserve Queen Mary 2’s Art Deco identity while modernizing the onboard experience.
