Royal Caribbean’s August 30 Alaska sailing aboard Serenade of the Seas has been pushed back two days while the ship remains in Vancouver for additional maintenance, according to a guest notice reported by Cruise Hive. The revised cruise is scheduled to depart on September 1 at 9 p.m. and return on September 6, as originally planned.
The shortened itinerary drops Sitka, Juneau, Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier, while retaining Ketchikan and Prince Rupert. Guests who continue with the sailing are being offered compensation, including onboard credit and future cruise credit. Those who cancel can receive a full refund plus a 25% future cruise credit, according to the reported notice.
Because the original departure date is today, this is now an active passenger-facing disruption rather than a future schedule change.
