Unforgettable Cruise Destinations Across The Globe

A good cruise isn’t defined by the ship alone. It’s shaped by what happens when you step ashore. Some ports are built around tourism, while others feel more local, with markets, side streets, and everyday routines unfolding close to the dock. Over the course of a trip, those differences begin to stand out. The routes in this guide focus on destinations where the experience extends beyond the harbor.

Immersive Expedition Voyages to Antarctica

Antarctica isn’t a place you can visit casually on a cruise, which is part of what makes it so unforgettable. Most voyages to this remote region begin in Ushuaia, Argentina, where ships depart from the port near Avenida Maipú before crossing the Drake Passage. The journey can be rough, but by the time the first icebergs appear, passengers are already tuned into the environment. Landings usually take place at Neko Harbor or Cuverville Island, where zodiac boats bring small groups ashore. You’ll walk on snow-covered ground with penguin colonies nearby and almost no human structures in sight.

There’s a practical side to these trips that matters. This is why the most excellent Antarctica cruises are built around flexibility, allowing captains to adjust routes based on ice conditions and wildlife activity. That often means more time near whale feeding areas or active penguin rookeries. Guides are usually scientists or naturalists who explain what you’re seeing, whether it’s how glaciers break apart or why certain species gather in specific bays.

Back on the ship, daily briefings are held in observation lounges, where maps and weather charts are laid out. After a few days, the geography starts to feel familiar, with names like Lemaire Channel and Paradise Bay sticking in your mind. There’s always something to watch, even if it’s just ice drifting slowly past the deck.

Sun-Drenched Island Hopping in the Greek Isles

Cruising through the Greek Isles feels different with each stop. In Santorini, ships anchor offshore and passengers take tenders into Fira’s Old Port. From there, many head up the cable car, but the zigzag walking path is still in use, lined with vendors and shaded corners where locals take breaks. Up top, streets like Nikolaou Nomikou in Oia get busy by late morning, especially near the blue-domed churches. Early starts make a big difference here.

On Mykonos, the layout is more compact. The harbor opens into narrow lanes around Matogianni Street, where shops and galleries sit side by side. It’s easy to drift into the quieter edges of town, especially near the windmills or along the path toward Little Venice. You’ll notice how quickly things change once you step a few blocks away from the main flow.

Delos is often included on cruise itineraries in Greece, and it’s well worth the stop. The archaeological site is spread out, with stone streets leading past temples and mosaics uncovered over decades. Back on board, evenings are usually relaxed, with views of island silhouettes fading into the distance.

Cultural Exploration and Tradition in Japan

Japan is a popular destination for small-ship cruising, partly because many of its most interesting ports aren’t designed for large vessels. Places like Kanazawa, reached via the port on the Sea of Japan coast, offer a quieter way into the country. From there, it’s a short ride to Omicho Market, where vendors sell fresh seafood, produce, and prepared meals in tightly packed rows. The market has been operating for centuries, and it still feels like part of everyday life.

If this style of cruising suits you, it’s worth taking the time to find small ship cruises in Japan that focus on regional ports and longer stays in each destination. That extra time makes it easier to explore places like Nagasaki’s Dejima district or the hillside streets around Glover Garden, where historic trade routes shaped the city’s layout. Onboard,  local experts lead talks on history or seasonal customs, adding useful context before you head ashore.

Kyoto is often included through nearby ports like Kobe or Osaka. Once in the city, areas like Gion and streets such as Hanamikoji offer a look at traditional architecture that’s still in use. You might pass a tea house, a small shrine, or a residential lane where locals go about their daily routines. Timing matters here. Early mornings are quieter, especially around Yasaka Shrine or along the Philosopher’s Path.

Majestic Glaciers and Wildlife Watching in Alaska

Alaska cruises are usually centered around the Inside Passage, with stops in towns like Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan. Each has its own character. In Juneau, many visitors head straight to Mendenhall Glacier, where trails lead out toward Nugget Falls. The visitor center offers a clear overview of how the glacier has changed over time, with marked lines showing previous ice positions.

Skagway still carries its Gold Rush history in visible ways. Broadway Street runs through the center of town, lined with restored buildings that now house small museums and local shops. Just outside town, the White Pass and Yukon Route railway climbs through steep terrain, with views over valleys and old mining paths.

Glacier Bay is often a highlight of the cruise. Ships usually enter early in the morning, and the atmosphere stays quiet as they move through the park. Rangers come on board to point out wildlife and explain the ice formations along the way. Wildlife is part of daily life here. Bald eagles are easy to spot near the shoreline, and humpback whales often surface near the ship.

Tropical Relaxation Through the Caribbean Islands

Caribbean cruises cover a wide range of islands, each with a slightly different feel. In San Juan, Puerto Rico, ships dock near Old San Juan, making it easy to walk straight into the historic district. Calle de la Fortaleza runs through the center, lined with pastel buildings and balconies. El Morro sits at the edge of the city, with open grounds where locals fly kites and gather in the evenings.

In Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the layout shifts from busy waterfront streets into steeper residential areas. Main Street is close to the port, but walking a few blocks inland brings quieter lanes and higher viewpoints overlooking the harbor. Skyline Drive is one of the best spots for that, especially in the late afternoon.

In Nassau, Bahamas, the main port area opens onto Bay Street, where most shops and foot traffic gather. A short walk inland leads to the Queen’s Staircase and Fort Fincastle, both set slightly above the town. These areas feel less crowded, making it easier to understand the island’s older structures and overall layout.

Which horizon will you chase first?

The cruise destinations above don’t follow a single idea of what cruising should look like. Some are shaped by remote landscapes, while others center on cities and everyday life near the water. What matters most is how each place feels once you step ashore. The more destinations you experience, the easier it becomes to figure out what kind of trip suits you best.

Icon-Class Expansion Continues As Royal Caribbean Orders Two More Ships From Meyer Turku

Royal Caribbean Group (NYSE: RCL), a global vacation leader redefining the future of vacations, has announced it has confirmed with Meyer Turku the order of a sixth and seventh Icon Class ship to be delivered in 2029 and 2030, respectively.

The order is part of the company’s long-term framework agreement with Meyer Turku that secures the Group’s access to shipbuilding capacity through 2036 and includes the previously announced Icon 5 order to be delivered in 2028. Meyer Turku has been a key partner in developing the award-winning Icon Class, helping to bring to life the most innovative ships ever built and advancing the next generation of vacation experiences. The Icon 7 order is subject to customary conditions, including financing.

“The Icon Class reflects our bold creativity and engineering excellence that continues to define what a vacation can be,” said Jason Liberty, Chairman and CEO, Royal Caribbean Group. “Through our long-standing partnership with Meyer Turku, the Finnish government, and the strong Finnish maritime cluster, we are reimagining the industry for decades to come while also delivering meaningful economic impact for Finland.”

This momentum underscores the shared commitment of both companies to push the boundaries of cruise ship design and innovation, allowing for the expansion of Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class fleet.

“The order of sixth and seventh Icon Class vessels is a significant recognition of Meyer Turku and the Finnish maritime industry’s talent and expertise. This milestone represents an important step forward in our partnership with Royal Caribbean Group to develop the shipbuilding sector over the next decade and beyond,” said Casimir Lindholm, CEO of Meyer Turku.

The collaboration between Royal Caribbean Group and Meyer Turku spans more than three decades, during which the shipyard has built 25 ships for the company. Meyer Turku and its supplier network employ approximately 13,000 workers, contributing over a billion euros annually to Finland’s economy. Each Icon ship represents the largest industrial projects in Finland. To date, Meyer Turku has built two Icon Class ships for Royal Caribbean Group, including Icon of the Seas (January 2024) and Star of the Seas (August 2025). The third ship in the class – Legend of the Seas – will debut in July 2026 in the Western Mediterranean, featuring eight neighborhoods, a lineup of unrivaled experiences, including thrills and chill, the most dining at sea with 28 options, all-new nightlife, and entertainment. The fourth in the Icon class, Hero of the Seas, will follow in 2027.

Icon Class

The Icon Class is central to Royal Caribbean Group’s strategy to continually disrupt the travel sector through purposeful design, world-class technologies, and immersive vacation experiences. Through ongoing investments in next-generation ships and an expanding portfolio of land-based destinations from three to eight by 2028, the company continues to broaden the way guests experience vacations across oceans, rivers, and land.

Further orders are subject to Royal Caribbean Group’s execution of construction agreements, which are expected to be subject to customary conditions, including financing.

Woman Falls From Balcony To Deck Below On Carnival Cruise

A person has died after reportedly falling from a balcony aboard Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Firenze while the ship was sailing near Catalina Island off the coast of California.

Carnival Firenze in Long Beach

The tragic incident occurred on the morning of April 27, 2026, during a short Baja Mexico cruise sailing from Long Beach.

According to reports from NBC Los Angeles, the woman went over the railing of her balcony and fell to a lower deck on the ship. Family members alerted the crew after the incident.

The circumstances surrounding how or why the passenger went over the balcony have not yet been confirmed, and her identity has not been publicly released.

A spokesperson for Carnival Cruise Line confirmed that authorities have been notified and an investigation is underway.

“All appropriate authorities have been alerted,” the spokesperson said, adding that “Carnival’s Care Team is supporting the guest’s family.”

The cruise line also confirmed that “As is customary, law enforcement will board the ship today on Catalina Island to conduct the required investigation.”

Ship Continued Its Scheduled Itinerary

At the time of the incident, Carnival Firenze was near Catalina Island, a popular cruise destination located around 22 miles southwest of Los Angeles. The island is a tender port, meaning passengers travel between the ship and shore using small tender boats rather than docking directly at a pier.

The ship had departed from the Long Beach Cruise Terminal on April 26 for a four-day cruise. Catalina Island was scheduled as the first port of call on April 27.

Following the stop, the ship departed the island later that day and continued sailing south toward Ensenada, Mexico, which is scheduled for April 28. The cruise is expected to return to Long Beach on April 30.

About Carnival Firenze

Carnival Firenze is one of the newer ships in Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet, carrying up to 4,126 guests.

The 135,156-gross-ton vessel joined the Carnival fleet in 2024 after transferring from sister brand Costa Cruises, where it previously sailed as Costa Firenze. Since the transfer, the ship has been sailing short Baja Mexico itineraries from Long Beach.

Latest Incident Follows Recent Overboard Case

The incident comes just days after another serious maritime emergency involving a cruise ship.

On April 25, a crew member from Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Breakaway went overboard off the coast of Cape Cod. A large search operation involving the US Coast Guard was launched but was suspended the following day after the crew member could not be located.

While overboard incidents and falls from cruise ships are rare, they typically trigger immediate investigations involving both cruise line officials and local law enforcement authorities.

Royal Caribbean Just Ordered Two More Of The World’s Biggest Cruise Ships

Royal Caribbean has confirmed plans to build two more Icon Class cruise ships, extending its investment in the largest vessels ever built for the cruise industry.

Icon class ship

The cruise line announced that it has ordered two additional ships, currently known as Icon 6 and Icon 7. Both vessels will be built by Finnish shipbuilder Meyer Turku, with deliveries scheduled for 2029 and 2030.

The new orders further expand Royal Caribbean’s pipeline of Icon Class ships, a design that has quickly become the company’s flagship product since the debut of Icon of the Seas in 2024.

Largest Cruise Ships In The World

The Icon Class ships are currently the biggest cruise ships in operation, measuring around 250,800 gross tons and capable of carrying up to 7,600 guests at full capacity.

Star Legend Icon of the Seas

Designed as a completely new concept, the ships were created as a “white paper” project. Rather than evolving an existing design, Royal Caribbean built the concept from scratch with a focus on distinct onboard neighbourhoods.

Each neighbourhood has its own theme and atmosphere, ranging from family-focused spaces with water parks and entertainment to quieter adults-only areas and premium dining venues. The layout is intended to appeal to a wide mix of travellers, including families, couples and multi-generational groups sailing together.

The strong passenger demand for these ships has helped drive bookings and pricing power for the cruise line, reinforcing Royal Caribbean’s strategy to continue expanding the class.

Expanding The Icon Class Fleet

The latest order comes less than a year after Royal Caribbean confirmed a fifth Icon Class ship for delivery in 2028.

Several ships in the class are already sailing or preparing to launch. Icon of the Seas entered service in January 2024, followed by Star of the Seas in August 2025.

The third ship in the series, Legend of the Seas, is scheduled to debut in July 2026 with cruises in the Western Mediterranean. A fourth ship, Hero of the Seas, will join the fleet in 2027.

Legend of the Seas

With the addition of the newly ordered ships, the Icon Class will match the Oasis Class as Royal Caribbean’s largest group of ships within a single class.

What We Know About Icon 6 And Icon 7

Royal Caribbean has not yet revealed names, homeports or specific onboard features for the sixth and seventh Icon Class ships.

However, previous ships in the series suggest the cruise line will continue refining the design rather than making major structural changes. Newer ships often include small adjustments based on passenger feedback from earlier vessels.

For example, upcoming ship Hero of the Seas is expected to introduce expanded pool areas following guest feedback from the first two ships in the class.

More details about the newest Icon Class ships are likely to emerge closer to their launch dates later in the decade.

Background To The Royal Caribbean And Meyer Turku Partnership

The new ship orders are part of a wider long-term agreement between Royal Caribbean Group and Meyer Turku that secures shipbuilding capacity through 2036.

Casimir Lindholm, CEO of Meyer Turku, added: “The order of sixth and seventh Icon Class vessels is a significant recognition of Meyer Turku and the Finnish maritime industry’s talent and expertise. This milestone represents an important step forward in our partnership with Royal Caribbean Group to develop the shipbuilding sector over the next decade and beyond.”

The Finnish shipyard has built 25 ships for the cruise company over the years, including Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas.

Authorities Board Carnival Firenze Following Passenger Death on Cruise from Long Beach

A woman has died after reportedly falling from a balcony on Carnival Firenze on Monday morning, April 27, 2026.

The Carnival Cruise Line ship was near Catalina Island during a short cruise from Long Beach, California.

According to news reports, the passenger fell from her stateroom balcony and landed on a deck below (deck 5). Her family, who were traveling with her, quickly alerted the crew.

Carnival confirmed the incident and said all appropriate authorities were notified. Law enforcement was expected to board the ship at Catalina Island to investigate.

The company did not release the woman’s name, and it’s still unclear exactly how or why the fall happened.

In a statement, Carnival said: “Carnival’s Care Team is supporting the guest’s family, and our thoughts and prayers are with them and their loved one.”

Passenger reports shared on social media and Reddit described the incident happening around 2 AM, with some mentioning a young woman falling from a high deck area (possibly the Serenity lounge) to a lower deck.

They also noted police and other officials on board, causing some delays.

Carnival Firenze is currently on a 4-day sailing from Long Beach that is scheduled to visit Ensenada on April 28 before returning to its homeport in California.

Cruise ship falls like this are rare, and there are usually other factors at play. Investigations are standard in these cases. This is a developing story. More details may come as the investigation continues.

This news comes just one day after a search was suspended for the crew member of Norwegian Breakaway who had gone overboard as the ship was heading back to Boston from Bermuda.

Up to 56,000 Passengers in a Single Weekend

Vancouver is gearing up for a very busy cruise season. And for the first time since 2019, five ships in one day will be using the port’s terminals.

Vancouver’s Canada Place is one of the most accessible major-city ports in the world, and it’s right near the top of my list of favorite places to begin a cruise.

Cruisers can step off their ship directly into the heart of downtown, with hotels, world-class dining, Stanley Park, and the SkyTrain to the airport all within a short walk.

There are no industrial shuttles or awkward transfers. It doesn’t feel like the port was crammed into the city as an afterthought.  The two just go together very well, and I felt that from my very first visit to Vancouver.

As Canada Place celebrates its 40th anniversary as a cruise terminal in 2026, the port is getting ready for its busiest season in history.

According to the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, a record 1.4 million cruise passengers are expected to pass through the city this year, with July being the busiest month.

2026 Vancouver Ship Call Breakdown

  • February: 1 call (The earliest start in port history)
  • April: 8 calls
  • May: 64 calls
  • June: 68 calls
  • July: 78 calls (Peak volume month)
  • August: 75 calls
  • September: 61 calls (Includes the record-breaking weekend)
  • October: 4 calls

A Big Weekend and Busy Summer

Port officials expect 359 cruise ship visits for the full year, with vessels arriving almost daily during the peak Alaska season from May through early October.

While most busy weekends will see 40,000 to 50,000 travelers, one window stands out as the busiest in the terminal’s history.

  • The Peak Weekend: September 18–21, 2026 (Forecasted 56,000 passengers).
  • The Busiest Day: Saturday, September 19, 2026 (About 20,000 passengers).
  • Total Season Volume: 1.4 million passengers, surpassing the previous record set in 2023.

Note: That 56,000 figure might seem impossible but it counts everyone moving through the port over a four-day “long weekend” (Friday–Monday). Since Vancouver is a “homeport,” each ship does a full turnaround, meaning thousands leave in the morning and a new group boards by the afternoon.

By staggering these arrivals across three berths, the port handles this huge flow of cruisers.

If you want to see every ship that will be sailing in and out of Vancouver this year, you can check out this PDF that the port created.

Disney Brings “Double Magic” to the Pacific

For the first time ever, Disney Cruise Line is homeporting two ships in Vancouver simultaneously. Both Disney Wonder and Disney Magic will operate out of Canada Place this season.

Economic Impact

According to the Canadian cruise port, each ship call injects about $3 million into the local economy through passenger spending, crew visits, tours, and other avenues.

In 2025, the local impact was over $1 billion, and 2026 is on track to beat that figure.

But this record-breaking season also overlaps with Vancouver hosting seven FIFA World Cup 2026 matches during June and July.  So, buckle up for some extra traffic downtown.

Officials are advising residents and visitors to plan ahead and use the SkyTrain transit as much as possible.  I loved using the SkyTrain on my Vancouver visit and found I didn’t even need to rent a car or use a taxi during my two days in the city.

Tips for 2026 Cruisers

If you are sailing out of Vancouver this year, you have plenty of options for cruise ships and cruise lines, but it also means you should do your planning well ahead of your sailing date.

You should try to arrive exactly at your assigned port time to avoid terminal congestion.  And if you are traveling during the September 18–21 window, consider staying in a hotel near a SkyTrain station further from the immediate port area to avoid the heaviest traffic.

Vancouver is an incredible port to start an Alaskan cruise but get there a few days ahead of your cruise or stay a few extra days after to really appreciate all the city has to offer. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Carnival-cruise-ships-in-Galveston-Texas-Cruise-Fever-1.jpg

The Full Lineup Through 2028

Right now, Carnival Cruise Line operates more cruises out of Galveston than any other cruise line.  Over 400 different sailings with Carnival are currently available out of the Texas port, and more options are coming.

Carnival cruise ships in Galveston, Texas - Cruise Fever (1)
Carnival Jubilee and Carnival Breeze in Port of Galveston. Photo credit: Cruise Fever

For people living in Texas and the surrounding states, the Carnival cruise options mean more choices and the convenience of driving to the port instead of flying.

With the recent announcement of the 6,600-max capacity Carnival Tropicale arriving in 2028, Galveston will soon be home to two of the largest ships in the entire Carnival fleet. The new arrival will join its fellow Excel-class sister ship, Carnival Jubilee, which already calls the port home.

Whether you’re looking for a quick 4-day Mexico getaway or a longer 14-day cruise, here is the Carnival lineup for the Port of Galveston through 2028 as it stands right now.

What’s Sailing Right Now (2026)

  • Carnival Jubilee: The current flagship. She runs 7-day Western Caribbean loops to Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatán. Starting September 2026, she adds 6- and 8-day trips to the Bahamas.
  • Carnival Breeze: The go-to for 4- and 5-day “Fun Ship” getaways to Mexico and the Western Caribbean. In May 2027, she’ll switch to longer 7-day cruises hitting the new “Isla Tropicale” (formerly Mahogany Bay).
  • Carnival Dream: Offers the most flexibility with 6- to 8-day cruises. She also offers a couple 14-day “Carnival Journeys” for those wanting a much longer voyage. Some go all the way to Puerto Rico and St Kitts (January 2027).
  • Carnival Legend: Perfect for those who want more than a weekend but less than a full week, focusing on 4- to 10-day Western Caribbean trips.

The 2026–2028 Lineup Out of Galveston

A few changes in the ships sailing out of Texas will take place at the end of this year and into next year as Carnival rotates newer and larger ships into the Texas market:

  • Carnival Miracle (October 2026): Arrives to offer a nice mix of 4-day Mexico sailings and 10-day voyages that visit Panama, Honduras, and Costa Rica.
  • Carnival Horizon (May 2027): Joins the fleet with 4-, 5-, and 8-day Western Caribbean cruises including Jamaica and Grand Cayman.
  • Carnival Sunshine (November 2027): Running everything from short Western Caribbean 4- and 5-day sailings to 10-day itineraries reaching Costa Rica and Panama.
  • Carnival Spirit (November 2027): With just a handful of sailings from Galveston, Spirit will offer two 4-day cruises and 3 10-day cruises before homeporting in Tampa.
  • Carnival Tropicale (2028): The fifth Excel-class ship in the fleet arrives to sail alongside Jubilee.  Itineraries have not been revealed yet, but Cruiser Fever will report on this as soon as the information becomes available.

Carnival Not Messing Around in Texas

Carnival has been sailing out of this port for over 25 years, and they aren’t shy about why they keep sending their best ships here. According to Carnival President Christine Duffy, the Texas market is a huge part of the company’s future.

The real proof of that commitment comes in 2028. That is when Galveston becomes the only port to have two of Carnival’s Excel-class ships (Jubilee and Tropicale) sailing at the exact same time.

It’s about more than just having the biggest ships, though. It’s about the fact that over 7.5  million people can drive less than 2 hours to the terminal without ever dealing with an airport.

Even as other cruise lines move ships to the Texas port as well, Carnival is still the largest cruise provider, and more options for cruisers are on the way.

New MSC Ship To Debut Huge Family Zone With Theme Park And AI Experiences

MSC Cruises has revealed a wide range of new family entertainment experiences that will debut on board its upcoming flagship, MSC World Asia.

The new ship will introduce expanded attractions, interactive game shows and technology-led activities designed for guests of all ages. From immersive indoor venues to outdoor adventure zones, the cruise line says the vessel will deliver its most extensive family entertainment programme to date.

MSC World Asia is scheduled to sail seven-night Mediterranean itineraries, calling at Barcelona, Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia for Rome, Naples and Valletta. The ship is designed to combine popular cruise destinations with a wide range of on board activities aimed at families travelling together.

At the centre of the new offering is the Family Aventura District, a dedicated hub bringing together several entertainment spaces including The Clubhouse, The Harbour and the Doremiland kids club.

The ship will also feature the Luna Park Arena, which will host a series of high-energy shows and interactive competitions.

MSC Cruises Vice President of Entertainment Steve Leatham said: “As a family-owned company, MSC Cruises knows what it takes to keep the whole family happy on holiday, with tailored family entertainment activities and facilities for guests of all ages. On board MSC World Asia, family entertainment will reach new heights – bigger, bolder and more innovative than ever. Featuring our widest range of programmes yet, alongside immersive, interactive and personalised experiences for everyone from toddlers to teens, families can expect truly extraordinary moments at sea.”

MSC Cruises Family Entertainment Development Director Matteo Mancini added: “For us, the greatest reward is seeing the joy on families’ faces when they discover something completely new. On MSC World Asia, every experience has been designed to surprise, inspire and spark imagination. We’ve pushed creativity to new limits, and we’re confident guests will leave genuinely amazed.”

Interactive Game Shows And Indoor Entertainment

One of the ship’s most distinctive venues will be the MSC Luna Park Arena, which the cruise line describes as one of its most innovative entertainment spaces yet. The venue uses digital technology that allows the floor to transform into an interactive arena where guests can take part in immersive games and competitions.

Three original game shows will headline the programme. Code Breakers challenges teams to solve puzzles to unlock a secret code, while Labyrinth focuses on strategy and navigation skills. Chart Toppers is a music quiz where players compete to identify songs and artists from different generations.

Another major indoor venue is The Clubhouse, which has been designed as a colourful space inspired by retro entertainment. The venue will host activities including roller skating, bumper cars and sports sessions led by professional coaches.

The Clubhouse will also feature a dedicated LEGO Family Zone and updated versions of several existing MSC family activities. These include Guinness World Records challenges, MasterChef at Sea Juniors and a new experience called Out of Control, where participants compete against timed obstacle challenges.

Family favourites such as the Doremix Family Disco, Star Shooters and the World Quest live game will also return with updated formats.

Outdoor Adventure Zone At The Harbour

Families looking for outdoor thrills will find them at The Harbour, an open-air entertainment area designed as a theme park-style destination on board the ship.

The attraction will include an adventure rope course, waterslides and what MSC Cruises describes as the longest dry slide at sea. Guests will also be able to try the Cliffhanger attraction, which the cruise line says will be Europe’s first over-water swing.

Other highlights include the Twin Racer and U Drop waterslides, along with a new playground called The Play Deck. This space has been designed as a relaxed outdoor environment where children and families can spend time together while enjoying simple play features and seating areas.

Inspired by major cities across Asia, The Harbour will also host daily entertainment including a LEGO Parade featuring seven mascots based on popular LEGO characters. In the evening, the area will transform into an illuminated outdoor entertainment zone with extended night-time activities.

Expanded Teen And Kids Experiences

MSC Cruises is also introducing new experiences specifically designed for teenagers. A new AI-powered avatar called Yuna will host several teen events, including the Yuna K-Pop Party and the Yuna Boogie Roller Party.

Teen-only sessions will take place across venues such as the Luna Park Arena and The Clubhouse, with dedicated versions of the ship’s interactive game shows as well as an updated Quiz O’Clock: The Battle featuring new video content and multilingual support.

Meanwhile, younger guests will find a wide range of activities at Doremiland, the ship’s large kids club complex located on Deck 19. The facility spans more than 1,000 square metres and includes spaces designed for different age groups.

Facilities include the Baby Club developed with Chicco, as well as Junior and Teens clubs equipped with gaming technology, an arcade and an MSC Formula Racer simulator.

Two new LEGO-themed rooms will also be introduced, one inspired by Asian landmarks and culture and another based on the world of Formula 1.

MSC Cruises says the expanded entertainment programme is designed to offer both supervised childcare options and shared family activities, giving parents and children the opportunity to experience the ship together or enjoy dedicated age-specific entertainment.
